The Shelter house is one of NSA’s first buildings. It is a favorite gathering place for outdoor cooking and picnicking. The shelter house is just 300 yards East North East of the Afterdeck and has one of the most commanding views of the lake or sailboat races. It features a BBQ and Smoker and has enough picnic tables to accommodate 200 people all under one roof. Restrooms, showers and a public boat dock/ramp, and a sailboat only dock and ramp are nearby in a protected cove.
NSA has twelve campsites on or near the shoreline available. Six campsites have access to electrical hookups. The Shower house is available for all to freshen up after a big day on the water. The Shelterhouse and campsites are available to reserve through the Cheney State Park Office for a nominal fee. Contact the Cheney State Park office for more information.
