Crane

NSA members have access to a certified 12,000 lb. (6 ton) capacity crane, in the harbor by A-dock, protected by a large rock jetty. The crane allows safe and easy launching and retrieval of even our biggest boats and there is always help available to aid you with your launch or retrieval. A high-pressure sprayer is available for wash-downs, as well as a sanitary pump out station. A free, one-hour crane seminar is necessary to use the crane. These seminars are throughout the sailing year with the dates posted in the Mainsheet Newsletter. To help sailors navigate in a night-sail, there is a six second flashing orange light atop the crane to help find your way back to the harbor.

Only active members of NSA who have completed the NSA’s Crane Training Program are to hold a key and be allowed to operate the NSA’s crane. Please see our yearbook on Ninnescah Sailing Association Rules and Fees for a more detailed description of how the rules apply to NSA's area facilities.
