NSA Junior Championship Regatta

On Saturday, July 29, the NSA Junior Sailing is hosting the 2017 CSSA Junior Championship Regatta. Everyone is welcomed to come out and enjoy the fun!

ELIGIBILITY: Open to all persons who do not turn 19 years of age during calendar year 2017. Membership in CSSA is required. Go to www.cssasailing.org to join.

CSSA Membership: $15 Family, $10 Individual

FLEETS: Optimist, Sunfish, Laser, Club 420, Multi-hull (including Hobie 14, Hobie 16, and Prindle16).

PRE-REGISTRATION: May be done by sending the registration form to: NSA, 11414 W. Texas, Wichita, KS 67209. See below to download pdf files.

REGISTRATION: Located in the NSA Afterdeck, Saturday, July 29, 2016 between 8:30 am and 10:00 am. Execution of a Liability Release Agreement as set forth in the Registration Form shall be required. Parents are urged to provide a signed Medical Consent Form to enable other adults to obtain emergency medical services. See below to download pdf files.

ENTRY FEE: Registration Fee is $15. Fees include meals for the participants. Meal tickets are available for non-competitors. Lunch: $2.00 Dinner: $3.00

STATE PARK FEE: $5.00 per vehicle will be charged when entering Cheney State Park and additional fees are charged for camping. Link to Cheney Lake: Kansas Wildlife, Parks and Tourism

SAILING INSTRUCTIONS: Will be provided at the registration and at the Skipper’s Meeting.

SKIPPER’S MEETING: The Skippers’ meeting will be held at 10:30 am on Saturday, in the Afterdeck.

RACES: Subject to the decisions of the Race Committee, 5 or more races may be scheduled. If 5 races are complete, there will be a throw out race for scoring purposes. No race will be started after 5:00 p.m. on Saturday.

LIFE JACKETS/PFD’S: All competitors shall be required to wear PFD’s at all times while on the water.

TROPHY PRESENTATIONS: Saturday evening after the dinner or approximately one hour after the last race or protest hearing is completed. All entrants will receive a participation award.
