Jr. Sailing Camps


Jr. Sailing Camps: ONE WEEK JUNIOR SAILING CAMPS are 4 day camps, running from 9 am to 4 pm for participants of varying skills and abilities. The cost for each one-week camp is $125.

SUMMER SAILING program consists of all three one-week camps for $300.
Pre-registration is required for each session.
The coaches for 2010 are Matt Graham and Kelly Gerkin.

... Please Note ...

NSA Junior Sailors are between the ages of 8 and 18. Participants will be required to wear a US Coast Guard approved life jacket (PFD) while on the water and on nearby docks. All Participants are required to pass a swim test of 25 yards wearing a PFD on the first day of a Sailing Camp.

NSA will supply boats for all participants. Participants 14 years old and under with a swim weight of 130 lbs. and under will sail in Optimists. Older and larger participants will sail in Sunfish.

Equipment Needed: PFD, tennis or water shoes, swimsuit, t-shirt, hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, towel, and lunch with drink. All items should be marked with the camper's name.

The goal for all Junior Summer Sail Campers is to have an enjoyable and fun time. The primary purpose is to provide quality instruction. To do this and have the most fun in the process, discipline must be maintained; therefore, Juniors who cannot maintain the appropriate safe and respectful conduct will be subject to disciplinary measures.
