Afterdeck

	The Afterdeck Activity Center is a 45' X 70', three-level log structure located in the Ninnescah Sailing Association complex at Lake Cheney, Kansas. Funded by NSA members and friends, and built almost entirely by volunteer labor, the Afterdeck was officially opened May 1, 1999.	Afterdeck Activity Center, May 1, 1999 Afterdeck at Night, June 2002

	The main level offers a full kitchen, restrooms, a large open space for a wide variety of functions. There are also two lofts for NSA use - classes, meetings, etc. The wrap-around observation deck provides an exceptional view of the NSA sailing complex, the harbor, and Cheney Lake. The lower level is primarily a shelter and storage area, including mechanical equipment. Next to the lower level is a large concrete patio for outdoor eating and other activities that is sheltered from the prevailing Kansas south winds.
